HAZY: A wine that is murky or unclear due to the presence of fine sediment is said to be hazy. This can be common in wines that are unfiltered and unfined though it can still indicate a problem with a wine. With older wines, it is best to let them stand awhile for the sediments to sink to the bottom of the bottle, then you would decant the clear section of the wine while leaving the last bit that contains all the sediment behind.
