Owner/Founder of the West Coast Wine Network. I have been running this site since 1996. I began a serious pursuit of wine early in 1995, before that I had a casual interest in wine but never really took the time to understand the difference between a good wine and a bad one. I consider myself to be fairly open minded about styles and do not throw myself into either a new world or old world camp, but if I had to have a single favorite varietal, it would be syrah. My favorites being Northern Rhones and North American in origin.
