The new DryCreekVnyd CheninBlanc I tried last night:
1. DryCreekVnyd CheninBlanc Clarksburg (13.0%; Hrvstd: 10/6-10/11; Frmtn: SS; TA: 0.63 gm/100 ml; SaH: 21.4Brix; RS: 0.4%) 2018: Pale yellow color; quite fragrant bright/pear/CB slight earthy/metallic slight plastic/new car/vinyl quite pleasant nose; quite tart/tangy/bit metallic rather pear/CB/slight floral bit mineral/chalky flavor; med.long quite tart/tangy/bit steely rather bright/CB/pear finish; needs a bit more age; not the tutti-fruti of many Calif CB and much more tangy/metallic; quite a pretty rendition of CB. $nc (SR)/$11.20 (VSP)/$16.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I have, of course, followed the DryCreek CheninBlanc from the very start, the '73 vintage. I liked this new version quite a bit. Not as forward/fruity as most Clarksburg CB but more mineral/chalky character.
