JCCllrs Syrah RockpileVnyd/BuffaloHill/Rockpile (15.2%; 25 cs; Drk: 2015-2035: JC) 2011: Black color; some overripe/hot/alcoholic/fumey intense Syrah/blackberry/boysenberry slight w-c/peppery bit Rhonish/espresso/roasted some toasty/oak beautiful intense complex nose; slight tart/tangy bit hard/tannic intense blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry some mineral quite structured some toasty/smokey/oak bit Rhonish/espresso/pungent/roasted flavor w/ ample chewey tannins; very long/lingering some alcoholic/fumey intense blackberry/boysenberry/very ripe Syrah slightly tart bit some hard/tannic very structured some smokey/oak slight Rhonish/roasted finish w/ ample chewey tannins; lots of structure & tannins & stll needs 3-6 yrs if the alcohol doesn't take over; alcohol a bit obtrusive but loads of ripe Syrah fruit. $85.00
