We tried these two over the last few nights:

Bechtold PinotGris Silberg Alsace Terroir AC: Alsace (13.5%; NealRosenthalImprts) Kircheim 2014: Deep gold/burnished bronze color; strong floral/PG/honeyed/carnations light earthy/petrol quite aromatic beautiful nose; lightly tart fairly rich/lush dry strong floral/carnations/PG/ripe/honeyed/slight orangey light earthy/petrol some complex flavor; very long/lingering very strong floral/PG/carnations/ripe rich/lush lightly tart finish; a lovely rather rich/lush PG that's moving right along and should go another 3-6 yrs; quite dry and avoids the Z-H style; quite good for a very fair price. $25.00 (KK)

Weingut StadtKrems GrunerVeltliner Stein DAC: Kremstal (13%; WinebowImprts) Krems 2017: Med.dark gold color; very strong beautiful GV/white pepper/spicy/floral/gardenias slight mineral/Mosel valve oil quite aromatic nose; lightly tart/tangy fairly rich/lush very spicy/intense GV/white pepper/floral/gardenias light mineral/chalky/valve oil balanced perfumed flavor; very long/lingering intense GV/white pepper/gardenias rich/lush lightly tart finish w/ slight prickle/dissolved CO2 in the aftertaste; quite an outstanding GV at a very fair price. $31.00 (AV)

1. StadtKrems: I generally like the wines from this producer. The grapes come from the Stein vnyd. Seems to be of a Smaargd-level of quality and very reasonably priced.
