2011 David Coffaro Terre Melange Dry Creek Valley

At first impression this is disappointing. Thin cherry fruit and a bit of spice. Too acidic and out of balance. Finishes long but a bit sour. I came back to it an hour later and it had definitely picked up weight and precision with pleasant red fruits and decent balance. Not great, but a perfectly nice quaff. Drink up. 38% Mourvedre; 37% Grenache; 25% Peloursin. Screwcap. "B-"
