Blackish purple and fully opaque core, sunset red to orange rims, rusty coloration. The nose has matured to the point where it offers more density and layers than liveliness, menthol, pressed flowers, cedar, coffee beans fill it out as the cherry, black currant fruit chugs along under the radar, almost prune, tends to just recline in the nostrils. Full-bodied, densely heavy, almost impassively so. Pine, menthol, witch hazel and honey before normalizes into cedar, cocoa and mesquite grill smoke. The plum, black cherry, black currant fruit carries a dried fruit edge which nicely concentrates it but at the same time slows it down to a crawl. Floral and caramel accents sweeten the finish. Tannin nonexistent, likely peaked 5-6 years ago in terms of fruit and structure balance. 76% Morisoli Vineyard, 16% Herb Lamb Vineyard, 8% Beckstoffer-To Kalon Vineyard.
