2012 Domaine Gourt De Mautens (Jerome Bressy) Vaucluse Rouge

Slight funk on the nose and the palate that does not blow off even after 24 hours. Palate has lively, ripe fruit, cherries, blueberries, touch of rare roast beef. But that slight almost metallic funk hovers below the surface. Bit of a sour note develops with air. Vibrant acidity, fair balance, tannins need time. Finishes long and a bit harsh. Maybe 2 or 3 years will help this, but then again maybe not. I don't think it's corked, just sloppy wine making. Too bad, there's nice material here. "B-"
