Adega Monte Branco X Anos 2014 (Alentejano, Portugal)

14% Imported by Adventures in Wine, CA

Let's get this out of the way now - this is a fantastic wine that is at the very top level quality wise!

50% Alicante Bouschet, 30% Aragonez, 20% Trincadeiro

Fresh, vibrant and bursting with all kinds of flavors, this wine is so alive. No obvious oak, no over-ripeness. Very complex with all sorts of unfamiliar flavors. Still tastes great on the 3rd or 4th day. Medium bodied with some acidity and plenty of structure. Very satisfying on many levels. A world class drink. So good it doesn't need food. Bought at auction for like $10 and luckily I have one more!!!

Produced in only exceptional years. Commemorating the 10th harvest.

I've had pretty good luck with the wines from Adventures in Wine. I guess he just passed recently.

Thanks
