Had these two wines the other night at DinDin:
1. WindGap PinotGris WindsorOaksVnyd/ChalkHill/SonomaCnty (12%; 6 brls/133 cs) Sebastapol 2013: Light ruby/garnet slight browning color; quite fragrant PG/floral/rose petal/carnations slight spicy/cinammon very slight resinous bit appley/quince some complex nose; fairly tart/tangy rather apple/quince some floral/rose petal/carnations slight resiny/earthy slight phenolic/skin-contact light spicy/cinammon/cardamon fairly complex flavor w/ light tannins; very long/lingering some apply/quince light floral/rose petal/lilacs bit tart/tangy/lean bit earthy/dusty slight metallic/tangy some complex finish w/ light tannins; a quite interesting Ramato w/ light skin-contact character that probably won't benefit from more age.

2. Novy Nebbiolo StolpmanVnyd/SantaYnezVlly (14.1%) 2007: Very light garnet/almost rose slight bricking color; lovely Nebb/floral/dried rose petal/violets/lilacs some pencilly/oa/Siduri oak light earthy fairly complex classic aged Nebb nose; quite tart/tangy some Nebb/floral/dried rose petal/violets slight tangy/metallic light pencilly/Siduri oak bit earthy/dusty somewhat complex flavor w/ light bitey tannins; very long rather tart/tangy/bit metallic some floral/Nebb/violets/dried rose petal classic aged Nebb complex finish w/ light tangy tannins; still quite healthy & not tired/dried out at all; reminds a lot of a 10-15 yr old Gattinara; quite a lovely fully mature Nebb that is more Gattinara than Calif except for the classic Siduri oak; not a profound aged Nebb but quite interesting & still alive.

More titlfrazzle from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Novy: I was expecting this wine to be totally dead & gone. It was not; still alive & healthy. Adam's Nebbs were always on the lightish/almost PinotNoir-like side, but it sttod the test of time; probably not going to get any better.
