Ciao,

Got to take home most of a sample bottle tasted in store with the rep. They are from Verduno, and this wine is estate bottled, vineyards not designated. Retail would be about $40.

A light cherry red color, translucent, already showing brick/garnet. Floral nose, with red cherries, some spice, some roses, some incense all of medium intensity. Lean and lithe on the palate, just as I love it, with cherry/raspberry fruit, light tannins but good acidity. Seems drinkable already but my guess is a year or three in the cellar and this may show much more than at this young stage. Traditional style wine, just lacks the intensity I expect in a really good young Barolo. Grade: solid B with potential for B+ with age.

FWIW, I have a few TNs in the archive here on their 96 Barolo, which I thought was very fine the first time, but a second bottle was oxidized.
