2005 Saxum Bone Rock
93% Syrah, 7% Grenache. 16.1% ABV. The nose is dark fruits and tarragon. Roasted meats on the palate, cherry, spice, black pepper, blueberries. Smooth tannins, sharp precise acidity, good balance. Perhaps a touch hot. Finishes smooth, moderately long with blueberry and spice. Excellent right now, but a little past prime and teetering on the brink, I think. Drink over next 2 to 3 years. "A-"
