My Z-List shipment arrived this week, so cracked:
1. Ridge Zin EastBench DryCreekVlly/SonomaCnty (100% Zin; 14.9%; bttld 12/2019; Drk: 10/19-10/25-10/26: JO) 2018: Med.dark color; strong raspberry/blackberry/Zinberry/fairly spicy bit dusty/OV some vanilla/Am.oak quite attractive Zinberry nose; fairly tart/tangy very strong blackberry/Zinberry/bit spicy/raspbery modest vanilla/Ridge oak light dusty/OV slight earthy falvor w/ modest brisk tannins; very long bright/spicy/Zinberry/blackberry/DCV raspberry bit dusty/OV some light Am.oak/vanilla finish w/ light tangy tannins; seems a real step above previous EastBench Zins w/ more depth & blackberry fruit; not a profound Zin and not at the level of Carlisle SC Zin or Bedrock OV Zin, but still quite a nicely done Zin in the Ridge style. $32.00/$28.80 (Z-List)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This wine comes from the younger vines planted on LyttonSprings West. I've always regarded the EB Zin one small step above their 3Vllys Zin. This one strikes me as a bigger step above that. My first good wine in over 2 weeks, after a trip to SoCal, and it sure tasted good.
