2019 Gerard Boulay Sancerre Chavignol

First bottle of the 2019 vintage. Nice, oily. peppery nose. Lovely fruit, perhaps a bit more delicate than I remember in the past, but that's not a bad thing. Lemon, bit of grapefruit (not out of bounds), bit of grassiness. Great acidity and balance. A bit lighter in texture than in past vintages, but beautifully so. Picks up a bit of weight with air, but the overall impression is valid. Finishes moderately long with lemon zest and spice. Lovely stuff. Drink over the next 2 to 3 years. Could it go longer than that? Yes, but I can't think of it being better. "A-"
