2021 Brecon Albarino True Acacia Head Central Coast

My favorite of the Brecon Albarinos. Light gold color. Salty, honey, citrus nose. Refreshingly crisp on the palate. Lemons, minerals, saline note, tropical fruits. Bright, bracing acidity, fine balance. Finishes long, minerally with citrus notes. Drink next 5 years. "A-"

Charlie: I always used to stop at Brecon before the pandemic; not sure how they are now running tastings. They used to open up big doors (like garage doors) to have an inside/outside atmosphere.

This is the old Norman Winery. Mr. Norman passed away and a young couple purchased the property. I think they are from Australia or N Zealand. Anyway, this is one of the best Albarinos in California. Another to look for is Artesa, but I'm out of touch with them, too. Always used to stop when in Carneros.
