2000 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon
Double decanted 2 hours before service. Deep red color, no bricking. Cherry, blackberry aromas. On the palate there is rich fruit, black cherries, bitter-sweet chocolate, cedar box. Beautifully resolved tannins, lovely acidity, great balance. Tobacco notes on the mid-palate. Finishes moderately long and just a bit faded. Lovely but a hair past peak. Got brighter and better with air and a New York Strip. Drink next 3 to 4 years. If you favor aged Bordeaux, this may be to your liking. "A-"
