So, interesting title on an article in today's SFChron:
SFChron/LeafrollVirus

And then I spied the author's name...our sweet AliceF***ing. Against my better judgement, I decided to read it anyway.
Surprise/surprise.... it's actually a rather good article. Not one mention of Parker anywhere (thought sure she'd offer up some kind of conspiracy theory that Parker was behind the mealybug pest). None of the usual/self-indulgent/whiney tone that characterizes her previous writings. None of the polemics against alcohol & oak or in favor of "natural" wines. It's sort of a "stealth" article in support of organic & biodynamic growing, but totally free of her strident/preachy character.
Maybe not a really profound article...but reasonably informative and straightforward. I learned something from it.
Good job, Alice.
