Lately I've been getting e-mails from retailers stating they have the best price in the country on Wine XYZ. And they're quoting wine-searcher.com so you can see for yourself.

This is a new trend to me. Anyone else notice this?

Premier Cru is going so far as to put it on their website for Petrus 2007.

So what? Kinda dumb, since there are likely hundreds of retailers without websites and that's how Wine-Searcher works.

I live and work in WI, and there is one guy who constantly - I mean weekly if not at least every other week - sends out and email saying, among other things:

"We have 97%/83%/100% [etc] of the states allocation of XYZ Wine Spectator Top 100 wine of the year..." AND

"We have the lowest price in the country..."

Not state, not midwest, or any other smaller area, but the country. 'Lil crazy, but he sells a $h!t ton of wine, is very successful. More power to him.
