Saw an interview in one of those newspaper magazines last week (Athalon Sports) that had an interview w/ Duke's Coach K. One of the questions was "What is your greatest indulgence"? He responded..."My wine collection".
So....anybody knows what Coach K likes to drink??

Hi Tom, I served with a fellow who played basketball for Coach K when Coach K was the West Point (Army) Basketball coach. He had many great stories of that time...and they regulalrly stay in touch.

The problem is he won't be helpful since he (my friend) is a praticing Mormon and has always resisted any temptation to sip any vino.

Regrettably, he seems to have fallen into the Silver Oak/Caymus SS/Opus One quicksand.

Do a Google search for "Krzyzewski, wine" and it links to an interview he did for Wine Spectator a few years back. Sounds like his cellar mirrors the wine list at your local Ruth's Chris steakhouse.

Think I recall hearing he's a big Rombauer fan and is good friends with Kroner.

Coach Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs NBA team is also an avid collector! I like the last line in the write up. Too funny.
