The 2017 "La Vie en Rose" by Lionel Osmin comes from SW France and is made from 100% Negrette grapes. Retail = $9.99. I really enjoyed this fresh, floral pink wine, with light raspberry/cherry notes in the nose, and a crisp, juicy texture. Nothing profound, just fun and delicious. Grade: B+.

The 2016 Bodegas Castano Monastrell is a juicy little number that drinks like a Beaujolais, not made to age but to be drunk young and fresh. Lots of red fruits and spice, crisp acidity, a perfect pizza/pasta/ribs wine. Retail = $9.99. I liked this and give it a solid B/B+, but the WA reviewer gushed over it like it was a great Rioja and gave it a 90 points rating!
