If I am interested in learning about a specific vintage in a particular area of France, what websites should I look to? For instance, if I want to know about the quality of the 2005 vintage in Chinon, are there websites I can plug into that will provide me with details about the weather for that vintage?

Hey Boyce, I don't think such a beast exists or at least I have not found it. There's the usual suspects such WA, WS, Vinous, Decanter, Jancis and so on. Otherwise I find it segmented by country if even that "macro" of a level.

I think the task is so daunting that no one can really take it on and the extant information is proprietary and thus cannot be aggregated legally.

That said, if there's any particular region you are looking for or might find most useful I can check my bookmarks for something of use.

Or I can just check my bookmarks...

Not current but useful for Loire: http://www.richardkelley.co.uk/regions.htm

Turns out most of the regional websites I have bookmarked are more "marketing" in nature with no vintage chart type stuff. Oh, well.

Thanks, Marc. I appreciate your response. I, too, find a number of sites geared toward marketing rather than geek-worthy material while other sites are so broad as to be of little value ("2014 was a warm year in California producing wines of ripeness ...")
I have a number of sites bookmarked (and probably need to refresh/update or delete some).
