2014 Carlisle Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard Russian River Valley

Bright cherry red in color. Red fruits on the nose. On the palate there are raspberries and cherries, ripe, soft fruit. Soft tannins, but still firm enough to provide structure. Nice acidity and very good balance. The moderately long finish mirrors the palate. Not as much complexity as I am used to seeing in this wine and in Carlisle Zins in general, but still perfectly lovely to drink. I tend to like Mike's Zins with more age on them, but I'd drink these on the younger side over the next couple of years. B+
