We opened the 2001, 2006, and 2013.
They all had similar taste profiles concerning the fruit. The 2001 opened to some secondary aromas on the nose but those eventually seemed to blow off. The tannins are pretty much resolved with excellent fruit coming through and finishing with some secondary flavors and full body. Excellent wine.
The 2006 was similar but showing less age and was much more primary on the nose and palate. Given what the 2001 has evolved into, wait a few more years.
2013- very intense fruit and some tannins. An excellent wine that will benefit with age.
They were all very good but the 3 of us all agreed on the 2001.
