Yes, it certainly should be. I picked up 4 bottles from Ridge when it released to the mailing list.

There are actually two GB's out. One was targeted to distributors/retail/restaurant market. And then another that they put up on the Ridge WebSite. Tom

Whats the difference? The blend? The blend is slightly different, I believe. And this 1'st bttlg was done back in late Winter. This new one for the Wine Clubs was bttld later, I believe. I've tried the first release, but not the one from their WebSite. Tom

No, I'm not on the ATP list, Bob, but I am on the Z List for the Zinfandels and the Monte Bello list. As Geo used to say here, "I admit that I'm a Ridge whore" (or some such wording).

Tom, the bottling I pick up was from the Adeliada Vineyard (Paso Robles) with a blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 25% Picpoul and 25% Roussanne. What's the other bottling's name or blend (or both)?

Which was the first bttling. Tom I believe the Adelaida bottling was the first, but I'll deny I ever said that if proven wrong. Here's a link to the Ridge website about it. The material at this link doesn't say it is the first, but it does say that it is available only to members.

I was at Ridge Lytton Springs on Saturday and they were pouring the Adelaida version; very nice. Lots of their wines are targeted at their three "clubs," which they seem to be pushing more actively these days. They even pitched an umbrella program where you can buy from all three. As an aside, they had a benefit on Saturday for the Sonoma fire victims and it was well done with food and wine.

Labeled as Grenache Blanc I tried it last August at a trade tasting and was listed as a "restaurant only" wine but some did make it to the local retail market. The Adelaida seams to be a ATP/Club release only and released later. The wine labeled as Grenache Blanc is 75% GB while the Adelaida is only 50% GB. Two different bottlings from the same vineyard.

I had it at the Lytton Springs winery in December and liked it. Sort of a clean version of a white Rhone varietal; good color and mouth feel. I'd buy it. The fellow pouring said it was popular as an alternative to chard. Ridge has changed the chard program in the past few years with just the two (M Bello and Estate) both from S Cruz. They no longer make one at Lytton.
FYI the version I had was labeled "Adelaida" (Paso fruit) and was 50 Grenache blanc, 25 picpoul and 25 roussanne.
