1991 Dunn Cabernet Sauvgnon Howell Mountain
Dark red in color. Slightly earthy, dark fruited nose. The fruit is elegant but a bit faded. Black cherries, tobacco. Fine tannins, some bright acidity, good balance. Finishes long with a bit of an herbal note. Probably seen better days but still quite nice. I wouldn't wait on these. "B+"
Despite all the talk about Dunn having a lengthy aging curve, I have yet to taste an older Dunn Cab (Howell Mountain or Napa) that has really blown me away. Chalk it up to my leaden palate.
