I have this bottle of wine passed down from a family member. Not sure if it is any good or the value of it. Should I open it, sell it, or just display it?

If it was mine, I would drink it but I would not have high expectations.

If you get lucky, you will have a huge smile on your face.

42 year old pinots, don't typically fair too well, but there are always exceptions.

Wouldn't it be a awesome moment if yours was an exception and showed well???

Just do it!

A few years ago, I purchased a 1966 magnum and opened it. It was rather pale and light, but the flavors and aromas very lovely. Not much fruit, but a sweetness and cedar notes that made everyone smile.
