We had the Blue Point Brewery (Patchogue, Long Island, NY) rep in the store Thursday for a customer tasting. I tried 3 beers from them. The Summer Ale is very light (4.6% ABV), fresh, crisp and clean, easy to drink, fun but nothing serious, the kind of beer you might want to drink after mowing the law. The Toasted Lager sees it's ingredients toasted in a brick oven, it is quite smooth and easy to drink also, their best seller. The "Hoptical Illusion" IPA is hoppy of course, but with a strong grapefruit/citrus note in the nose and on the palate.

Yesterday we had the sales manager from 16 Mile Brewery (Georgetown, DE) in the store and the customers got to taste up to 6 ales from them. They were all well made, especially the "Harvest Ale". dc.
