Tried this last night after a fail on a cheap Pinot:

Ch.Puech-Haut SaintDezery Prestige Ad'OP: Coteaux du Languedoc (15%; 55% Grenache/45% Syrah) LePrestige by P.Cambie & E.Solomon 2011: Very dark/black color; very intense boysenberry/framboise/blackberry/Syrah/black cherry huge fruit some toasty/Fr.oak/smokey very International style some fumey/alcoholic nose; soft/lush/rich/mouthfilling strong toasty/oak intense boysenberry/blackberry/framboise/plummy flavor w/ some soft/round tannins; very long intense huge fruit/blackberry/boysenberry/framboise/Syrah strong toasty/Fr.oak finish w/ ample soft/round/ripe tannins; a huge-fruit bombastic sort of red. $22.00 (AV)

1. This wine first hit everybody's radar when Parker gave it a 93 for the '09 vintage at only $18/btl. This is a wine very much in the mordern/international style & I can see why Parker would go ape-$hit over it. It could be a Paso Mourvedre, a Priorat Grenache, a Macedonia Tikves...pretty much anything. May develop into something interesting..but not sure. I liked the wine initially...but after the 2'nd glass, it became pretty tiring on the palate. Would not buy again.
