Hi,

Sounds like a great tasting!

FYI - Torraccia del Piantavigna is owned by Francoli, the grappa company who used to produce Piedmont wines under the Francoli name back into the 60's at least. I have two 1988 SV Gattinara from Francoli. The older wines are reputed to be of good quality. I've heard good things about the newer releases as well and wished I had some.

Glad you liked the Ettore Germano. Serralunga is my favorite spot and Germano is high on my list to pick up.

It would be interesting to try the WA nebbiolo wines that you mention. I haven't tried the Cavatappi for 25 or 30 years! It's probably time.
