Tried this the other night:
1. Carlisle Mourvedre SonomaCnty (14.9%; Plntd: 1888-1910; 215 cs) Windsor 2013: Med.dark color; very strong plummy/Mourv/RCCola/root beer very spicy quite dusty/OV light toasty/oak/smokey some complex nose; bit soft rather rich/lush strong plummy/Mourv/RCCola/spicy quite dusty/OV slight tangy/orange peel light toasty/smokey/oak some complex flavor w/ light fairly smooth tannins; very long soft/rich/lush strong plummy/Mourv/RCCola/spicy light earthy rather dusty/OV fairly structured complex finish w/ modest ripe/smooth tannins; drinkable now and should go another 3-6 yrs; a lovely drinkable 4-square expression of Mourv.

1. I really liked Mike's Mourv. Loads of Mourv varietal character w/o the earthy/mushroomy character you get out of ContraCosta Mourv. It reminded me a lot of the early PeterFranus Mourvs off BrandlinRanch, some of EdmundsStJohn Mourv also from Brandlin.
