Very cloudy with a dusky purple core and mildly brighter brick red rims, looks like an old wine that was shaken so the sediment permeated all the liquid. The nose is all band-aid, fart and wet animal fur, some cherry to red currant scents buried in there somewhere, a touch leafy as well. Medium-bodied, fizzy when first open, this moderately resolves. Bitter and metallic with more of the same animality. No lack of acidity to ratchet up the intensity even further. The cherry, sour red berry fruit starts off okay but like most of it, squeezed into submission by the finish. Unstable mouth feel, while drinkable leaves you feeling you just experienced the perils of natural winemaking.
