Clear throughout, the reddish core has some browning edges, otherwise dilute. There's a roast to the cherry, plum scents in the nose yet syrupy in texture, muddy earth, touch of tar and twigs, unpretentious. Medium-bodied, shoulders squared through the mouth entry. Citrusy, tree bark and twigs first then a slow unveil of the more candied cherry, raspberry to blueberry fruit. The acidity still kicking around and the tannin too surprisingly strong. Great grip and almost too powerful. Given this tends to come off foursquare at times. Not sure there's upside but plateau should be long.
