Full-on amber to bronze color, pretty much looks like an intentional "orange wine," moderately dull with some drop in intensity at the rims. Caramel, baking dough, honey, pretty much maderized in character if the nose and color are to be taken seriously, some orange peel but the apricot, peach, apple fruit scents are almost entirely shot. Full-bodied and holds its weight throughout, has better acidity than expected though you wouldn't call it fresh per se. Dominated by yeast, dough, pie crust flavors and here it runs hot even with a perfectly average alcoholic content. Mint and spiced orange then bitters and nuttiness. Again, even with a poached feel there's little life in the white pit and apple, pear fruit. Don't think it was cooked but way long in the tooth. Approximately 90% Chardonnay, remainder unspecified other.
