Lagier Meredith Vineyard Syrah Mount Veeder Napa Ca. 2006

Four and a quarter years have passed since last tasting this wine. When last tasted, it was decidedly in a dumb stage. It survived that stag and how! Silky mouthfeel. Loads of blackberry (or is it the richness of cassis?), black olive, iodine (in spades), balsamic and coffee on the finish. The tannins still control the wine. They’re angular and bold. The structure of the wine is amazing. Let another 4 years roll past before opening another. 14.7% alc. With grilled strip steak (beef) and grits souffle. 05.13.17. Highly Recommended.
