Incredibly cloudy liquid, looks like a glass of prune juice, fully opaque with something like a rust red edge to the more or less purple base. Raisin and prune touch to the thickly arrayed cherry, raspberry to Italian plum fruit scents, the nose is driven by wet wool, animal hide and muddy earth accents, some volatility lurks in the background, feels like you just woke it from a deep sleep. In the mouth it's full-bodied and shows more pep, bright and semi-sour blueberry, raspberry, strawberry fruit with supporting grapefruit citrus. Menthol, wool, matted straw and olive pits weave in and out. Less funk here but the textural volatility remains. Finishes flat-footed. The fruit gives its all to overcome the threads unraveling. 60% Grenache, 20% Mataro, 20% Shiraz.
