Beerenauslese AP #16
Only slightly deeper gold, stays consistent core to rims, would not peg it as a wine this age. For all of its honey, brown sugar tangerine reduction, vanilla custard scents, it zips around very well and the floral dew and dried fruit apricot, peach to pineapple scents never heavy. Full-bodied, active and vibrant, the acidity level is excellent and matched well to the primary material. The pineapple, nectarine, papaya, apricot fruit wide-eyed and electric. Fluid pink grapefruit to lime reduction. There's something close to menthol which adds lift to the floral musk. Hard to imagine this getting any better than it is today. 375 ml bottle.
