Cloudy worn gold color, relaxed with just no visual life to it. Good focus to the toasty nose, smoky and buttered, butterscotch, lime juice, rose water, pear to peach fruit, very penetrating, no diversity of aromas but has energy in excess. Full-bodied, shows some bitter, underripe notes with just okay acidity. The butterscotch and caramel fueled oak aspect dominates the pear, melon, apricot to yellow apple fruit. Hot finish, lots of burn as the fruit trails off at the end. Really, it's probably what it should be and if you likes you some oak it could be a "wow" wine.
