J. Marc & Mathieu Crochet Chene Marchand Sancerre Loire Valley 2014

The color is almost silver-gold if that can even be a color. No notice of green around the rim. Fig, lymon, white grapefruit, creamed corn, chalk, and smoke. With every sip the flavors become that much more focused. Vibrant, crisp, and balanced with a long and complete finish of basil and smoke. This is a producer who knows how to make a rather satisfying expression of Sancerre. This is one easy drinking Sancerre. So good, I had to pull my other bottle. 13% alc. With two wonderful chevre-like cheeses - cannon walbalsh and Domitilla (from Italy) along with molé and crusty bread. 06.08.18. Recommended.
