E. Guigal Condrieu Rhone 2013

Everything is knit well with this wine but for the finish. Thin and watery, the finish fails to take the baton from the mid-palate and is left standing in the track, oddly and out of place. The nose and attack are textbook Condrieu: white peach, lychee fruit, honeysuckle, almond, and a touch of white pepper. On the mid-palate, the wine picks up a roundness. And then .....pppfffftttttt! 13.5% alc. With assorted cheeses and sliced chicken breast in dejon sauce and crusty bread. 05.04.18. Recommended, but for the finish making for a ranking of Recommended with Reservations.
