2012 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Willamette Valley

Lovely nose of black cherries. The black cherries continue on the palate along with raspberries and a deep strawberry note and a bit of anise. Firm but not overbearing tannins and great acidity. Nice balance. A bit short on the finish, but pleasurable reflecting the flavors on the front of the palate. The overall impression is a thoroughly enjoyable wine and a lovely expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. Will probably drink this well or better for 4 to 5 years more. A-
