Cracked this wine last night:
1. Neyers Syrah Cuvee d'Honneur (14.1%; www.NeyersVineyards.com) St.Helena 2012: Very dark color w/ no bricking; strong blackberry/Syrah/blueberry bit c-c Syrah/black pepper fairly Rhonish/roasted/smokey bit Cornas-like lovely fragrant nose; rather tart/tangy/angular strong blackberry/blueberry/Syrah/peppery c-c bit rough/rugged/tannic some Rhonish/roasted/smokey/Cornas-like bit smokey/toasty/oak fairly complex flavor w/ ample ripe/rough tannins; very long somewhat tart/rough/tannic strong blackberry/Syrah/blueberry/c-c peppery some smokey/oak/toasty rather Rhonish/roasted bit complex finish w/ ample rough tannins; not as high-toned Syrah as previous ones and more rough/rustic than before; needs 4-8 yrs yet but probably not going to be a great Cd'H I suspect.

A wee Bloody Pulpit:
1. The Neyers Cd'H under EhrenJordan has always been one of my favorite Calif Syrahs. Nemed in honor of the great Rhone winemaker Thierry Allemand. Contains a fair amout of whole-cluster. This '12 was a bit disappointing to me. Pretty rough & rugged and not as much c-c/black pepper character as before. Interesting to see where it will go.
