Loring Wine Company Chardonnay Sierra Mar Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands, Ca. 2014

Is it possible that this has grown in the bottle? It may not be as big as the 2013 but it is bigger than I recall. “Buttered popcorn, cream, baked apple, vanilla and coconut” captured the essence of the profile, but don’t do justice to the boldness of the wine. Yet it’s a balanced wine suspended between the fruit and acidity. The finish is tremendously long. 14.3% alc. With homemade chicken pot pie. 09.20.18. Recommended.

Loring Wine Company Parmelee Hill Vineyard Chardonnay Sonoma Coast, Ca. 2014

A remarkably youthful wine with flavors of Asian pear, golden delicious apple, lemon oil. Is that a bit of lychee fruit and vanilla? A bigly wine with intensity of fruit and roundness of mouthfeel. 14.3% alc. With epoisses cheese, salmon spread and crusty bread. 08.31.18. Highly Recommended.
