Spending a few days in Napanoma.
We spent Saturday in Sonoma at a few places. (First off, do folks tip tasting room staff? Pay by tablet systems offere up a suggestion. One place the tip was based on the cost of the total wine order. That place got zero. Any way what’s the consensus?)

Visited Sbragia and was really impressed. The Sauvignon Blanc was excellent and the Monte Rossi Cab was impressive. Stopped here on a whim on the way to Jeff Cohn cellars.

The entire array of wines at Cohn were very good. The Grenache Blanc/Roussanne was a hit along with the GSM blend, one of the Zins and Zio Toni Syrah. Bought a few here too.

Last stop in Sonoma was Mekan. Wines like this have us starting to like California Cabs again.

Last stop in Sebastopol was at a very disappointing visit to Pax. From the whites to the single vineyard Syarahs they lacked aromatics, much flavor and the reds were very tannic . The Syrahs had a bitter tannic finish with little flavor. I’m guessing these wines (2014s) need a bunch of years to show anything. The combination of the whites/off beat red flight and the Syarah flight was a combined cost of $60. A complete waste of money.

Today,Sunday, is off to Sebastol and DCV wineries.
