Tried this wine of Ehren's last night:
1. Failla PinotNoir RanchoSanta Rosa Sta.RitaHills (13.7%) StHelena 2005: Med.color w/ some bricking; slight mousey/hantavirus/funky nose that clears mostly to rather cedary/pencilly/Fr.oak/toasty some cherry/black cherry/aged PN light smokey/Burgundian rather complex nose; fairly tart/tangy/metallic quite cedary/pencilly/Fr.oak light cherry/black cherry/old PN bit smokey/Burgundian/earthy complex flavor w/ light smooth/gentle tannins; very long/lingering tart/tangy/metallic light cherry/black cherry/PN fairly cedary/pencilly/Fr.oak bit smokey/pungent/Burgundian complex finish w/ light smooth tannins that are fully resolved; starting to show that metallic/tangy character of a wine entering its decline but still has some life left, rather quite interesting, and offers up some pleasure.

1. If recollect is correct, this was made by Ehren when he was still winemaker at Turley.
