Had this last night w/ my Kasekrainer:
1. Alzinger GrunerVeltliner Durnstein Federspiel (12.5%; www.Alzinger.At; SkurnikWines/TerryTheise) Unterloiben/Durnstein/Wachau 2017: Light gold color; lovely GV/floral/white pepper/spicy pure/focused GV quite aromatic nose; rather tart/tangy/bit lean bright/zippy GV/floral/carnations/light white pepper totally dry focused GV/spicy flavor; very long bright/GV/floral/white pepper light mineral/chalky bit lean finish; a bright/focused/spare pure GV like a good Mosel Kabinett Trocken.
$31.00 (AV)

1. Last Sat, ArroyoVino did a tasting of Alzinger wines. I liked them quite a lot, across the board. This one, particularly for its purity of GV fruit on a rather spare frame. But they are a bit pricey compared to the IngridGroiss wines.
