2010 Copain Pinot Noir Anderson Valley

Not a single vineyard Pinot, an appellation wine. I had forgot I had these in the cellar. I tried one when I first bought them and was duly unimpressed, so my expectations were low. My expectations were vastly exceeded. This has blossomed into quite a pretty wine. A lovely deep rose red in color with a pretty light strawberry nose. The fruit echoes the nose, delightful light strawberry fruit with a hint of tartness. Soft but evident tannins to give it structure. Bright acidity. Nothing complex here, but a delight to drink. Balanced and lovely. In case you're wondering, this is not labeled as either Copain's Tous Ensemble or Les Voisons lines. I'd drink this wine over the next three to four years. 13.2% ABV. B+
