Oddero Barolo Vigna Rionda 1998 (bought on release)

"Amazing nose + palate, 1st thing. Sweet, smooth and balanced. Classic. Consistently wonderful. Warmth. Excellent. Delineated. Sweet, rich and concentrated. Cool menthol. Very good. Very sweet"

Probably decanted for 2 hours?

This came the night after the Briccolina and I was tired and didn't give this wine it's due. A slight bit of a waste reading the notes now. I do have another and will be more careful next time. This seems like a wine that isn't going to fade but probably won't get much better. Seems like a good time to drink this. I preferred the Mondoca di Bussia Soprano 1998 from them that I had last year but both are very nice wines drinking well today. Most of the Oddero wines weren't highly rated at the time and so I bought on the advice of the folks here on WCWN. Glad I did.

Thanks
Fraser
