2016 Three Sticks Chardonnay Alana Vineyard

This wine really needs to warm up to show it's stuff (as did the 2017 I posted on earlier). Start it at no more than cellar temperature, don't chill it. A lovely nose with notes of lemon liqueur. On the palate, there are peach, pear, anise, some tropical fruits. Real depth to the fruit. Honey notes develop as it warms then some apricot. Great acidity, crisp, minerally. Beautiful balance. The fruit coats the palate. A touch of oak, more of a spice than a dominant note. The oak just disappears with air. Finishes long, light and lovely. The fruit and mineral notes on the finish are light on the palate with cleansing acidity. Just beautiful. "A"
