From the BlairSwartz stash, I tried last night:
1. Ch.Talbot GrandCruClasse AC: St.Julien (MeBaC; 12%) Cordier 1981: Med.color w/ some bricking; very strong cedary/pencilly/oldBdx bit smokey light herbal/CS lovely complex nose; rather tart/tangy bit metallic quite cedary/pencilly/Fr.oak som e herbal/CS somewhat tired/dried-out/metallic complex flavor w/ light gentle tannins; very long strong cedary/pencilly/oldBdx slight herbal/CS somewhat tired/dried-out finish w/ light smooth tannins; a fairly classic cedary/pencilly/oldBdx nose but showing signs of its age on the palate; an interesting glimpse of history but doesn't offer up a whole lot of pleasure. $12.95 (K&L)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This was from Blair's stash and had reasonably good storage conditions over the yrs. I was expecting a bit more fruit remaining but such was not to be. Not an unpleasant wine but more of intellectual interest than pleasure.
This btl was one of the modern Cordier btls that didn't have the embossed logo on the shoulder.
