Ok, you want tasting notes, here's one.

This is a grand cru St. Emilion; 60 merlot, 40 cab franc. I tend to prefer Bordeaux with those grapes. This is an easy drinker, tannins resolved, good color with no browning, good legs/viscosity, no sediment. Cherries are prominent.

Decanted 45 minutes and served with tri tip; good combo.

$18.99 at .....get this....Trader Joe's. They have been increasing their inventory of reasonably priced Bordeaux, many under $20 but some in the $40-50 range. Their customers must be upgrading from Chas. Shaw. This wine is a nice entry level version of St. Emilion.
